It was a flick my wife Bonnie and I practically slept through. The first rule of movie-watcherdom is to have a person we can admire, whom we can identify with, but in this movie, there were none. But I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not a movie critic, so back to the marquee.<\/p>\n
Certain unnamed people had fun playing marquee \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Boggle\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with the letters. The rule was to rearrange all the letters of In Her Shoes to create a different message. Someone waited until Easter to come up with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153O He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Risen.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Others were \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Heroes Shine,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Her Hose Sin,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Heroin\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hi, He Snores.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
Through all the letter rearrangements, nobody\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s identified the person of letters, the ladder-toting man or woman who would wait till the dark of night to put up a new message. Well, that game lay dormant for months until just recently, with a new message, visible to people heading west. It reads, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sushi Fridays.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Now that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an interesting title, and we hope the movie it represents remains for a while.<\/p>\n
The Douglas Avenue marquee is equidistant to two restaurants, Charlie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and Dick\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s. Could one of them be using the marquee as a menu? But if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a real movie being advertised, we wonder whether Sushi Fridays is anything like the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc92 movie, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sushi Sushi,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d with a no-name cast. Or it could be of the genre that usually includes a night or day in its title, such as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Boogie Nights,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Talladega Nights,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Boulevard Nights, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Days of Wine and Roses,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Longest Day\u00e2\u20ac\u009d or \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Arabian Nights.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

The term \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pseudo-intellectual\u00e2\u20ac\u009d describes someone who merely thinks he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s smart.<\/p>\n
So, in the case of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pseudophake,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d well, isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t that like a double dose of fakery? Doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t it describe some classmate who wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even good at being a phony? Far from it. The word describes a person who has had the natural lenses of his\/her eyes replaced with artificial ones.<\/p>\n
The definition by ArcaMax explains that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pseudo\u00e2\u20ac\u009d refers to artificial, and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153phake\u00e2\u20ac\u009d means lentil or an eye lens that resembles a lentil. Yet, fake\/phake and phony certainly imply a double negative.<\/p>\n
